We love your comments!

June 20, 2007

Your response to the blog has been great!  We started it to give you a window into what we’re doing at Homestead to make our products serve you better.  Equally important to us is that the blog gives you the chance to comment on the changes and let us know what you think of them.

We read every one of your comments, and get a lot of great ideas from them.  I’m happy to say that many of those product ideas are already in the pipeline, and that you’ll be reading about them very soon!  Since a lot of you are making suggestions that are similar to what others are saying, we’ll try to address them in posts that will be informative for everyone.

Thanks again for visiting, and please let us know what we can do to make your Homestead experience even better!

Notice anything new about Homestead? We’ve repainted our site!

Actually, we’re repainting it now, and you’ll see the new color scheme and updated graphics soon. Come check it out at the end of June and let us know what you think! For now, here’s a little sneak preview of the changes to come: Homestead’s New Look and Feel!

Here’s a reminder of what Homestead looks like today. Homestead’s “old” look and feel

New Look for SiteBuilder Lite

June 11, 2007

Check out the new, updated version of our online website editor SiteBuilder lite! Don’t worry, we haven’t made any changes to what software people call the “rich feature set”; you might call it simply “the stuff it does.” It still does all the same, good “stuff” you’re used to, but we’ve updated the way it looks, and we think we’ve made it even easier to use.

The New SiteBuilder Lite

Now when you make changes to your site in SiteBuilder lite, all the pages on your site are listed on the left hand side, instead of tabs at the top. Some people were confused about the tabs, so we got rid of them and listed your pages on the left instead. Now it’s easier to rename them, reorder them, and just navigate between them. Removing the tabs also made it possible to activate the links at the top of your pages, so you can navigate through your pages just like a visitor would.

Maybe best of all, these changes make room for a lot of NEW functions and great stuff we’re working on right now that will help you manage your online home better. Stay tuned to this blog, we’ll let you know when we’re about to add something new.

We hope you like the way the new SiteBuilder lite works. Let us know what you think; it’s user input that lets us know how we’re doing. In fact, it was our users who asked for the changes we’ve just made! At Homestead, we believe we’re all part of the same community, so feel free to share your ideas with us. Your opinion matters!

Welcome to the Homestead Blog!

June 11, 2007

Hi!  Thanks for clicking in.  I’m Rochelle King, the Product Director here at Homestead.  We’re starting this blog for Homestead customers as a way to keep you informed about upgrades to your services, new products, news about the company, anything that we think might be interesting for you to know.

It’s here that we’ll announce new products in advance, so you have a chance to review information about them and ask questions before they arrive.  We’ll also keep you up to date on upcoming service maintenance, so you’ll know when we plan on upgrading the infrastructure that keeps your Homestead sites running smoothly.

Thanks again for clicking in, and read on!
