Your note on photo licensing is quite important.

Even more to that - i've come to websites telling they are giving away images for free and then saw the same photos under copyright by known photographers.

So if you want to use free images - make sure the source is good. You may take images from flickr as some of them are licensed as creative commons - but you'll be required to attribute the author. I have a list of design resources i'm building for myswlf and the public - maybe you'll find anything useful there too.

And of course, spending a few cents for being sure about the image source is the most reliable option.

Hi! Was interested in reading what you have to say about images. I picked out my style of site from Homestead, and am using that. IT happens to have about 6 little images on the index page, which I have been debating if I should keep. Then I thought I will use them as links. to other pages individually. Am finding that a little challenging because if I click one , it sometimes animates the one beside it, and alignment is a headache...as one logo was off size that I substituted in. But I thought they , pics I mean might be a better incentive to click then just a text link.

Wonder about it though???

Wonderful suggestions, Ron.
Appreciate the info on legal ramifications on the use of stock photos.
Can't wait for the next installment!
