An important point:

If you want to maintain confidentiality with people's email addresses, then you need to send to the Mailing List using a Bcc mailing facility that is set to not show addresses. Otherwise any recipient can email any of the other recipients...

Having a mailing list is very beneficial for increasing traffic to your website.

I started writing daily devotionals for a website that I have which caters to teenagers.

I implemented the newsletter/mailing list feature on one page that I optimized for several terms relating to teen daily devotions.

I have watched the list of subscribers grow rapidly. The email list is over 2100 people and seems to be increasing by ten or so people a day.

So, every morning I send out an email to them all and include a link to the devotion for that day.

Zoom, all day long there is traffic coming to my website through the link that was posted in the lesson for the day.

This feature is a huge plus and is so easy to add to the pages.

Thanks for a great post explaining the simplicity of implementing the mailing list sign up on Homestead websites.

What I really want to know is user end. Here… Me… Also, what is to come of The Homestead Site Builder. See, I was really hoping to see homestead doing a decent size update at some point, with expanded usability and more bells and whistles. The ones I’m more concerned with are the ones that can make my sites look more and more professional, like dynamic resizing, a little hand coding, more flexibility, while keeping the builder simple as it is for those who want to build a site from the ground up.

You might not be the right person to bring this up to but I would really love to have a place when I can see what is on the way as far as user end. Not just updates as they come on line but ones in the pipeline. I just want my web sites to look as good as possible and with an much functionality as possible. I love the site builder, I just want to see it get stronger and more flexible. I want to be able to make a site and never have anyone know it wasn't created by a pro. Maybe I ask too much.

Thanks
