Thanks Homestead,

Aside from the glitches, this feature is a huge improvement. Can't wait to make use of it. The only feedback I'd give is to make the text subtitles larger, or variable. Sometimes it seems hard to read.

Thanks for all your hard work, David.

Hey Guys,

Great blog always but I wanted to know if there was a tech blog. More about the back bone of site builder, what you guys are working on in terms of improvements to the builder. Also an area to talk about problems with the site builder.

Mine has been twitchy and I wanted to really see if I can fix it...

Oh and also a place to chat with the developers and suggest things we might need or want.

Thanks a bunch...

Hi madi: you should view these requests as social favors, and to make these favors work, you have a good relationship with these people. Its not a matter of asking for a link from someone you don’t know; develop a friendship or relationship first before asking.

SEO Aaron Wall says that you should view the web as one big social network. I fully agree.

Here’s something you can do right now: if you have a blog or whatnot, start posting about that target website with something interesting to say (a review or constructive feedback might be good). Point it to them, and ask for a link when you are ready.

It works in a couple of ways:
1) you establish relationship
2) you give them a link, and can ask one in return. If you have your blog somewhere else (e.g. a free blog site) and you have them point their link to your homestead site, then its not really reciprocal linking is it?

I still don't have the products and text on my StoreFront as of yet, and its been 3 years. Instructions on internet I printed off, 300pgs or so, just make me more confused. Nothing like Sitebuilder. One of the women who works at Homestead told me "No way can you build a web site without knowing HTML. Now I read on Homestead this is not the case, so I am just going to sift thru all these papers until I can find a way to remove the garble-dee-gook, one of the techs types in each of my catagories when they put the blank slate background on the page. I have still tet alot of designing to do. Victorian Home Decor, Scrapbooking mostly older Heritage books (I use Ancestry.com alot). Rubber stamps, inks in stamp pads. tons more, THAT is where I run into trouble with the keywords, I don't just have one or two "favorites" or good keyphrases. Our website is divided into more than 10 catagories. I did everything the "big guys" like John, Steve from Planet Ocean? Their comments on seo are much like yours. Much to learn, thank you for helping us all!

hi all
I tried to ask to many other web to link on my web, only a few said yes. And even like that, there responses was " sure, go a head ", but they don't propose anything to me. The must part of time, I feel like a big rivalry, and its not true. I do something so much different then they do. Any suggestion?

Hey! This is totally shocking news...but it makes sense, and will be a win for the customer.

My Q: is....do you think you can create a marketplace like they have with QuickBooks where StoreFront E-Commerce is all connected into QB?

If there was a marketplace of add-ons (external or otherwise) for StoreFront, it could catapult it up into the very very large store ionosphere. One inventory, with one accounting, on POS, E-commerce, Amazon.com and other online platforms!

"Ecosystem"...what a great term, that is so cool!

Good luck!

I must say the new photo gallery is certainly an improvement over the previous one. But After reading some of the comments about the pros and cons and trouble using it. I have another option to display your photo's.

you can view a display here: http://www.ssheatingcooling.com/Services2.html

If any one is interested in this option contact me through my other web site.
